Dr Rebekah Olive

Clinical Psychologist

Registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council

My specialist areas are trauma and low self esteem. I have over 10 years experience of working with adults and children who are suffering the psychological effects of a trauma. My experience as a Clinical Psychologist has given me a range of therapeutic tools which allows me to be flexible and work closely with people to give them the treatment most appropriate for them. Often, I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as recommended in the NICE guidelines for post traumatic stress disorder and many other psychological difficulties. I integrate other psychological approaches into my work based on the nature of the client’s difficulties. I am particularly interested in incorporating mindfulness and compassion focused therapy with the practical approach of CBT.
